A homeowner successfully extinguished a small fire at their residence in Centerville Friday afternoon.
Centerville-Osterville-Marstons Mills Fire-Rescue responded to the incident at the home on 28 Weaver Road around noontime.
The homeowner told arriving firefighters he was using a heat gun outside of the door and noticed smoke coming from the bottom of it; he was able to douse the small fire with a nearby garden house.
Fire personnel inspected the home to ensure the fire was completely extinguished; officials deemed the blaze “accidental”.
