The Atlantic White Shark Conservancy, via its Sharktivity app, says a great white shark was spotted near swimmers at Head of the Meadow Beach in Truro shortly after noon on Monday. The shark sighting was confirmed from a life guard plane circling the beach overhead.
As a precaution, Head of the Meadow Beach was ordered closed to swimmers for one hour.
