A tip to the Falmouth Police Department has provided police in Vermont with a lead in the fatal shooting of a woman in South Burlington.
A man told Falmouth Police that they were contacted by a family member who told them he had shot his girlfriend in South Burlington.
When that information was relayed to South Burlington Police, they discovered the woman, shot to death in a home on Southview Drive.
The search is now on for the suspect, Leroy Headley, 36, of South Burlington. Headley was arrested in 2017 and accused of sexually assaulting two 13-year old girls.
Police believe Headley may be driving a 2017 Nissan Pathfinder with Vermont registration HBR281.
Headley is considered armed and dangerous.
