Julian Castro Is Being Punished By Dem Establishment For Attacking Biden

It all started when 2020 Democratic candidate for president, Julian Castro called Sleepy Joe Biden out for contradicting himself on healthcare statements, the former Vice-President said merely minutes before, at the Democratic presidential debates held on September 12th.

Here is the exchange below:

CASTRO: If they choose to hold on to strong, solid private health insurance, I believe they should be able to do. But the difference between what I support and what you support, Vice President Biden, is that you require them to opt in and I would not require them to opt in. They would automatically be enrolled. They wouldn't have a buy in. That's a big difference, because Barack Obama's vision was not to leave 10 million people uncovered. He wanted every single person in this country covered. My plan would do that. Your plan would not.
BIDEN: They do not have to buy in. They do not have to buy in.
CASTRO: You just said that. You just said that two minutes ago. You just two minutes ago that they would have to buy in.
BIDEN: Do not have to buy in if you can't afford it.
CASTRO: You said they would have to buy in.
BIDEN: Your grandmother would not have to buy in. If she qualifies for Medicaid, she would automatically be enrolled.
CASTRO: Are you forgetting what you said two minutes ago? Are you forgetting already what you said just two minutes ago? I mean, I can't believe that you said two minutes ago that they had to buy in and now you're saying they don't have to buy in. You're forgetting that.

Immediately after the debates, during the typical postmortem interview with the candidates, MSNBC's Chris Matthews first statement to Castro was that "one of MSNBC's top reporters" said that Castro was "going to go on the attack against Biden" during the debate. While Castro was trying to answer the statement, Matthews kept interrupting him, saying that the reporter was right and that Castro was wrong.

Julian eventually changed the subject to why he said what he said to Biden stating that Kamala Harris brought the same point up during the Detroit Democratic debates about leaving 10 million people being left uncovered in Biden's plan. Castro went on to say that the Biden denied that was the case in Detroit, but that the media fact checkers confirmed what Kamala said and refuted Biden's claims.

Castro then said that he pointed that out tonight, and that's when Matthews went into full establishment defense mode of Biden. Chris immediately interrupted and claimed that Biden never said "buy-in" was not what was in the tape. Castro retorted that if you look at a different portion of the debate, you can hear Biden say the exact words, verbatim, that Julian was insisting Biden sputtered out.

Instead of looking over his notes, which he had done to defend Biden, Chris Matthews slyly accused Castro of ageism, cowardly hiding behind the age old method of "People are saying" instead of having the courage to put his name behind the accusation. Check out the rest of the "discussion" below:

MATTHEWS: Most people thought there was another aspect to this. That you were suggesting a man of 76 years had lost the ability to remember what he just said. Short-term memory loss you were accusing him of.
CASTRO: Not at all.
MATTHEWS: You rubbed in three or four times. You kept saying, you don't remember, you don't remember.
CASTRO: We had a disagreement about whether he said the words buy-in. He did say the words buy-in when you look at the full transcript.
MATTHEWS: He said if you can't afford it, you get automatically enrolled in the medicare option.
CASTRO: And then what did he say if you lose your job?
MATTHEWS: Well he also said if you lose your job, you can automatically buy into it. But the poor people you were addressing are covered by what he said in that same paragraph.
CASTRO: Not at all. That is significant. This is important because this is about the most important policy in this country.
MATTHEWS: Excuse me, Mr. Secretary, these tapes are going to be played over and over again. so whatever we say here.
CASTRO: We're here to debate healthcare policy...
MATTHEWS: Do you believe he is deficient?
CASTRO: I think his health care plan is deficient.

Chris Matthews was not the only MSNBC personality that attacked Castro for his words. Nicole Wallace and Brian "Lyin" Williams discussed his remarks and determined they were ageist. Wallace going as far as calling them "an unstable allusion to Alzheimer's", "heinous" and the interview that Castro did with Chris Matthews a disaster and disgrace.

In a later interview with CNN's Chris 'Fredo' Cuomo, Julian Castro was castigated by Fredo, his words being called a cheap shot and going too low by the Fake News Network anchor. Castro once again being interrupted in his explanation by a righteous Fredo saying, "I don't think that that's the way he articulated it"

Julian Castro even lost a congressional endorsement the Sunday following the debate.

Texas Representative Vicente Gonzalez announced he was switching his support from Julian Castro to Joe Biden, stating on CNN:

If you're polling in the low single digits and you're not raising any resources, and you're fracturing your party and getting your supporters to be upset at other candidates, it certainly can't be a good thing for our party.

This is what the liberal controlled media focused on. This particular set of comments, by someone who's poll numbers rarely reach 2%.

Julian Castro is being made an example of by the Democratic establishment. He went off script and said what everyone in the world was thinking, that Joe Biden lost his fastball, and should just retire from the race and the public eye. The DNC does not like people who do not fall in line. Look at Crazy Bernie in 2016 and Andrew Yang this time around.

Like the Borg in Star Trek, all of the candidates must assimilate, Resistance Is Futile.

What a great time to be a Republican. Go Trump Go.
