Congresswomen Hail Passage of Paycheck Fairness Act
3/29/19
Massachusetts Congresswoman Katherine Clark is hailing passage of the Paycheck Fairness Act.
The vice chair of the Democratic caucus says the house has taken a leap forward in the fight to root out income inequality and ensure that women receive equal pay for equal work.
Congresswoman Lori Trahan, who voted in favor of the legislation Wednesday, says the gender pay gap should be a relic of the past, but that women are still making only 80-cents for every dollar earned by men.
