YPD/3rd Offense OUI Arrest
2/20/19
Early Sunday morning a Yarmouth Police Patrol Officer stopped a pickup truck for erratic operation on Route 28 in West Yarmouth.
When the officer asked for the driver’s license he appeared extremely nervous as he and his passenger provided a name, but no license.
When confronted the man properly identified himself as Daniel Hayden of West Yarmouth.
He failed a number of field sobriety tests, was placed under arrest.
It was later determined that Hayden was out on parole due to previous OUI convictions. He refused to take a breath test and his license was immediately suspended.
The 38 year old Hayden was charged with OUI 3rd offense, operating a motor vehicle negligently so as to endanger, operator refusing to properly identify himself and operating without an OUI interlock device in the truck.
He was arraigned in Barnstable District Court on Tuesday.
