Two Vehicle Crash Involves Chatham Police Cruiser

Chatham Police are reporting that one of their officers was involved in an accident Monday night at the intersection of Old Queen Anne Road at Partridge Path.

Just after 6 P.M., a 2007 Toyota Sequoia, driven by 35 year old Andrea Wilson from Harwich, was travelling East on Old Queen Anne Road and a 2016 Ford Explorer marked Chatham Police Cruiser, operated by 48 year old Officer Andrew Hutton, was travelling on Partridge Path.

At the time of the crash Officer Hutton, a 12 year veteran of the force, was not responding to a call for service.

Both drivers suffered minor injuries and were transported separately by ambulance to Cape Cod Hospital.

Each vehicle suffered heavy damage.

The accident investigation has been turned over to the Cape Cod Regional Law Enforcement Council’s Crash Reconstruction Team with assistance from the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office.
