State Attorney General Stepping Into Pilgrim Sale
1/24/19 The Massachusetts Attorney General's Office plans to intervene on the application to transfer a license for the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Plant in Plymouth.
The plant owner, New Orleans-based Entergy, is selling to New Jersey Company Holtec International for the plant to be de-commissioned.
The A.G.'s intentions were announced at a meeting hosted by the nuclear regulatory commission in Plymouth last week.
A Healey spokesperson told Wicked Local that the office has serious concerns with the health, safety and financial risks in the proposed sale.
