Blish Point In Barnstable/Storm Damage Repair

Barnstable DPW/Storm Damage Repair

The Barnstable Department of Public Works will be repairing storm-related erosion damage at Blish Point in Barnstable beginning on Wednesday, January 16th.

The focus of the repair work is to replace sand along the dune area northwest of the Millway Beach Parking Area.

Materials and equipment will be staged temporarily in the parking lot for the Blish Point boat ramp while the work is ongoing.

The project is expected to be completed by Friday, February First, weather permitting.

Vehicle access to the Blish Point Boat Ramp and parking lot will be maintained during the construction operations, however, a portion of the parking lot will be sectioned off for delivery and offloading of replacement sand, staging materials and operation equipment.

Anyone using the boat ramp is advised to use extreme caution.

Work each day will start promptly at 7A.M. and run until 5 P.M.
