The Wareham Police Department has released a list of the types of calls they receive on a regular basis of which the public may not be aware.
During the month of December 2018, officers responded to 38 domestic disturbances, which resulted in 17 people being arrested, criminally summoned or placed in protective custody.
Massachusetts laws forbid the release of any particulars of the incidents.
In addition, there were 16 calls for suicide attempts or threats in December, resulting in 13 people being transported to the hospital for evaluation.
Also last month, Wareham Police Officers responded to 16 drug overdoses, several in which officers administered Narcan, the life saving drug used on unresponsive patients, potentially saving multiple lives.
In the first week of the New Year, Wareham Officers responded to 13 domestic disturbances resulting in four arrests.....two suicide threat calls, one of which involved a potentially armed person...... and five drug overdoses.
