IN HARWICH THE ANNUAL POLAR PLUNGE TO BENEFIT THE HARWICH PARENT-TEACHER ORGANIZATION AND CAPE WELLNESS COLLABORATIVE TAKES PLACE AT 11 A.M. AT RED RIVER BEACH OFF OF UNCLE VENIE’S ROAD IN HARWICH PORT.

THE COTUIT POLAR BEAR CLUB’S 15TH ANNUAL “FREEZIN’ FOR A REASON” WILL BENEFIT THE FAMILY OF 10 YEAR OLD AVERY BROOKS WHO WAS DIAGNOSED WITH LEUKEMIA IN 2015 AT AGE 7 AND IS RECOVERING FROM A BONE MARROW TRANSPLANT IN JULY. THE SWIM TAKES PLACE AT NOON AT LOOP BEACH ON OCEAN VIEW AVENUE.

THE MONUMENT BEACH POLAR CLUB OF BOURNE’S 22ND ANNUAL PLUNGE TO BENEFIT THE BOURNE FRIENDS FOOD PANTRY TAKES PLACE A NOON AT MONUMENT BEACH. A 20-DOLLAR DONATION WILL INCLUDE A “CERTIFICATE OF BRAVERY” AND A T-SHIRT. ALL SWIMMERS MUST HAVE FOOT WEAR.

IN SANDWICH THE “LIFE FOR LISA: ALS AWARENESS POLAR PLUNGE” IN MEMORY OF LISA CHALKE TAKES PLACE AT NOON FROM THE BEACH PARKING LOT AT 98 TOWN NECK ROAD. ALL PROCEEDS BENEFIT COMPASSIONATE CARE ALS.

AND IN YARMOUTH THE 9TH ANNUAL POLAR PLUNGE, SPONSORED BY THE FRIENDS OF THE YARMOUTH COUNCIL ON AGING TO BENEFIT YARMOUTH SENIOR CENTER PROGRAMS, WILL TAKE PLACE AT SMUGGLERS BEACH AT NOON TODAY. THE REGISTRATION FEE IS 15-DOLLARS.
