State Police/Drug Arrest


State Police stopped a vehicle on Route 6 in Barnstable around 12:45 Wednesday morning for motor vehicle violations.

As a result of an investigation, 36 year old Joel Williamson of Hyannis was asked to get out the vehicle and was found to be in possession of 29 grams of cocaine.

Williamson was arrested and charged with trafficking cocaine, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, speeding and marked lanes violation.

He was arraigned in Barnstable District Court.
