Wareham Police responded Wednesday afternoon to a report of a large fight in the parking lot of Gateway Gas at 25-37 Cranberry Highway.
Two Wareham Detectives were the first to arrive at the scene and observed a pick-up truck leaving the lot.
Bystanders reported that the individuals in the truck were involved in the fight.
Police stopped the vehicle on Gibbs Avenue and during a subsequent investigation 35 year old Adam Grant was found to be in possession of suspected heroin and placed under arrest.
Grant was charged with possession with intent to distribute a class “A” drug and will be arraigned in Wareham District Court today.
