Orleans Oyster Harvest Begins Thursday 11/1/18

Orleans/2018 Annual Oyster Harvest


On Thursday, November 1st, the Town of Orleans will be celebrating the 2018 annual Thanksgiving Oyster Harvest.

Approximately 100-thousand Oysters will be available for recreational harvest, dispersed between the two buoys off the Route 28 landing in Pleasant Bay, in an area that is accessible from shore at low tide.

All valid town of Orleans family permit holders are eligible for one 10 quart basket per week.

Commercial permit holders are also eligible for one 10 quart basket per week for family use only.

Oysters must be a minimum three inches in length.
