Drug Take Back Day Saturday
10/24/18
Saturday, police departments across Cape Cod, and the drug enforcement administration, will be sponsoring Drug Take Back Day.
The event is an opportunity for the public to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused or unwanted prescription drugs, no questions asked.
Only pills or patches will be accepted. The DEA cannot accept liquids, needles or sharps.
Last spring Americans turned in over 474 tons of prescription drugs at more than 53-hundred sites operated by the DEA across the country and nearly 43-hundred operated by state and local law enforcement.
Drug Take Back Day on Saturday will run from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. at your local police department.
