If you’re a drone pilot you might be interested to know that the Federal Aviation Administration is beginning to crack down on illegal use of drones.
The FAA says that anyone flying a drone, which interferes with fighting wildfires, law enforcement efforts, or other first-responders, such as medical flights, are now likely to face serious civil penalties, even for first-time offenders......the authorization by congress allows the FAA to fine a violator up to 20-thousand dollars.
Deterring interference with first responders is critical as the use of drones, which are considered aircraft, expands.
The FAA says the rules for flying unmanned aircraft are very clear and pilots can save themselves and others serious problems by following them to the letter and don’t let your decision to fly cause someone else to die.
