Calls To Cull Seal Population On Cape Cod

Calls Increase to Reduce Seal Population

The seal population is in focus after the weekend fatal shark attack on the Outer Cape.

State shark researcher Dr. Greg Skomal believes the shark thought it was attacking a seal.

Experts point out that the marine mammals have a thriving community off the Cape, which has in turn led to increased shark activity.

Some are now becoming more vocal in calling for the seal population to be culled.
