Wareham PD/Shoplifter

Wareham Police responded Thursday afternoon to the Stop and Shop for a report of a shoplifter.
Arriving at the store, Officer George Chandler found 32 year old Sarah Kearley of Onset being detained by loss prevention personnel.
It was determined that over 580-dollars’ worth of merchandise was stolen and when the officer confronted Kearley she reportedly began to scream “Arrest Me! Arrest Me!”
The outburst was in the checkout area which was crowded with shoppers including many families at the time.
Kearley was arrested and charged with shoplifting, disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace.
She was arraigned in Wareham District Court.
