Ribbon-Cutting For Maritime Academy Pier
7/14/18the Massachusetts Maritime Academy is celebrating a new extension of its Buzzards Bay pier.
Lieutenant Governor Karyn Polito was the featured speaker for a ribbon-cutting ceremony commemorating the project on Thursday.
Officials say the pier extension, which cost two-and-a-half-million dollars, will enable the academy to better serve the maritime community and provide a secure docking site for emergency response vehicles.
