Wareham Police responded to a report of an armed robbery Wednesday afternoon in the area of Roundhill Blvd.
At the scene, officers met with 19 year old Vaughn White of Brockton who claimed that he and his friend has been held up at gun point by two males.
Police say White’s story had multiple inconsistencies and after an on-scene investigation he was arrested.
Officers located a large amount of marijuana and ammunition in White’s car. He was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and illegal possession of ammunition.
Wareham Police say the alleged robbery was not random and the investigation into the incident is on-going.
White was arraigned in Wareham District Court today.
