Supporters Push For Hands-Free Bill

7/12/18Supporters of a Hands-Free Bill are calling on the Massachusetts House to vote on the issue before the legislative session ends on July 31st.

If passed, it would ban drivers from using hand-held cell phones.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says distracted driving, primarily due to cell phones, causes ten-percent of deadly crashes.

More than a dozen states, including every New England state except Massachusetts and Maine, have enacted hands-free laws.
