Centerville-Osterville-Marstons Mills Fire-Rescue responded to a near drowning at a Centerville Beach Tuesday afternoon.
The incident occurred at approximately 3:47 at Covellās Beach. Town of Barnstable Lifeguards and a bystander had already begun C-P-R by the time rescuers arrived.
Upon arrival, the swimmer was breathing on her own and was evaluated by medical personnel before being taken to Cape Cod Hospital.
Barnstable Police were on scene to assist, and are investigating the incident.
