SSA/ M/V Governor Taken Out Of Service
6/13/18
The Steamship Authority’s M/V Governor from Woods Hole to Vineyard Haven was taken out of service Tuesday morning due to a low fuel pressure alarm.
The vessel’s senior chief engineer, along with maintenance personnel were called in to replace a fuel pump and the M/V Martha’s Vineyard provided service, although behind schedule.
Until the repairs were completed, ferries docking in Woods Hole were only able to use one slip, resulting in arrivals and departures to and from Woods Hole being delayed.
During the afternoon, the repairs were completed and the Coast Guard cleared the M/V Governor to resume its regular service.
