On Sunday, June 3rd, Yarmouth Police were dispatched to a home on Seaview Avenue for a report of domestic violence.

Officers were able to locate the victim, who was severely injured, and fire department paramedics took her to Cape Cod Hospital suffering from numerous violent injuries.

A search of the home located the suspect, 49 year old Mark Beltrandi of West Yarmouth, hiding in a bedroom.

When found, Beltrandi was suffering from an apparent self-induced drug overdose and was also taken to CCH.

Yarmouth Police report he was out on probation and has 25 prior charges in Massachusetts.

He was charged with three counts of attempted murder, two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and one count each of kidnapping, strangulation or suffocation, and witness intimidation.

In Barnstable District Court Wednesday he pled not guilty and was ordered held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing Monday.
