5/17/18
Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Agents have arrested a Brazilian National working on Martha’s Vineyard.
According to the Vineyard Gazette, Oak Bluffs Police were contacted earlier this month by ICE with information that a suspect in a July 2017 homicide in Brazil might be living and working on the island.
Police located 47 year old Dorvino Rocha Ribeiro working as a roofer at a job site on Linton Ave in Oak Bluffs.
They notified ICE and agents came to the Vineyard and arrested Ribeiro without incident and transported him off island.
The international police agency Interpol says Ribeiro is accused of a “Murder - For – Hire” killing in July of 2017 in Brazil. He was allegedly paid the equivalent of $ 950 for that murder.
