The Dennis Fire Department responded to a structure fire early Sunday morning.
Firefighters were dispatched to the scene located at 468 Main Street in South Dennis.
The fire started outside of the building, which was knocked down by two Dennis Police officers using fire extinguishers; fire crews arrived and extinguished the rest of the flames.
The home was unoccupied and no injuries were reported from the scene. A pile of empty paint cans, rags and other discarded building materials were located where the fire originated.
The exact cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
