Falmouth Firefighters were busy Saturday night when they received a call about a house fire at 83 Spectacle Pond Road.
Crews were notified at approximately 6:40 p.m. of the fire, which was burning at an unoccupied home at the time.
Once on scene, firefighters began dousing the flames which had spread to every floor in the two-story house.
Fire personnel remained on location for some time after the blaze was under control.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, however officials believe the flames originated from the basement and worked their way throughout the home.
