Fire Destroys Wareham Home

Wareham Fire

A raging fire destroyed a two story home in East Wareham early Thursday morning.

The call came in around 3 A.M. for the house at 36 Restful Lane and arriving crews found flames shooting from the structure. Mutual aid from Marion and Onset was called in to help battle the blaze which ultimately totally destroyed the home.

There was concern at one point that a person was unaccounted for, but the State Fire Marshall’s Office says an investigation did not find any victims in the remains of the building.

A statement from Wareham Fire officials says the home sustained an estimated 300-thousand dollars in damage.

There were no injuries reported in the blaze which is under investigation by Wareham Police and Fire, the State Police and the State Fire Marshall.
