Falmouth House Fire
3/26/18
Falmouth Fire Fighters responded to a building fire on Providence Street in the Maravista section of the town around 1:45 Monday morning.
In a statement, fire officials say arriving crews found heavy fire showing from a large two story home with severe exposure problems on three sides due to flying brands and radiant heat.
A second alarm was struck bringing all remaining Falmouth units to the scene, along with engine companies from Mashpee and Cotuit.
Numerous hand lines were deployed and the fire was brought under control in about an hour.
There were no injuries reported and the fire is under investigation by the Falmouth Police and Fire Departments and the State Fire Marshall’s Office.
