Wareham police executed a search warrant at a motel Friday afternoon.
Detectives and patrol officers arrived at the Village Motel on Cranberry Highway at approximately noontime.
The target of the warrant, 44-year old David Johnson, was under investigation by police for sale and possession of crack cocaine.
Police entered the motel room and found Johnson along with four other individuals all sitting at a table with 8 pieces of crack cocaine on it; a digital scale, two crack pipes and other drug paraphernalia were also found by officers.
Johnson was arrested and charged with Possession of a Class "B" Substance with Intent to Distribute; he was arraigned in Wareham District Court.
