Wareham Police Arrest Two Men For Stealing

Wareham PD/Larceny Arrests

3/9/18

Wednesday afternoon around 1 P.M.., a Wareham police officer noticed two males carrying a large covered item in the area of Sandwich road and Main Street.

When the pair spotted the officer they quickly made their way to the rear of a building and attempted to duck out of sight.

A large screen T.V. covered by a blanket was discovered behind the building. An investigation later determined it had been stolen from a nearby residence.

Other officers arrived and soon located 22 year old Ryan Hanscome of East Wareham and 18 year old Xavier Hernandez of Wareham.

At that point police saw currency floating in nearby water and recovered the bills, which were determined to be counterfeit 100-dollar notes.

Both men were arrested and charged with larceny over 250-dollars. Hanscome was additionally charged with possession of counterfeit notes.

The men were arraigned in Wareham District Court.
