Wareham High School Student Arrested For Threats

Wareham PD/Juvenile Arrested


Wareham Police arrested a juvenile at Wareham High School Monday after the student made verbal threats to teachers to “shoot up the school”.

The matter was immediately addressed by school officials and school resource Officer Karl Baptiste who place the youth under arrest without incident at the school.

An investigation determined that no students or staff were in immediate danger at the time of the threat, which the juvenile reportedly stated was made without thought or intention.

The threat was made verbally and the student was not in possession of any type of weapon at the time.

The juvenile was arraigned in Wareham District Court on charges of making a bomb or weapons threat and disturbing a school assembly.
