COMM Water Main Flushing

The Centerville-Osterville-Marstons Mills Water Department will begin flushing water mains, weather permitting, on Wednesday March 7th.
The work will continue until mid-June with flushing taking place from 8 A.M. to 5 P.M. Monday through Friday starting in Centerville and then in sections throughout the district.
The water mains will be flushed by systematically opening fire hydrants for a brief period.
During the flushing, customers may notice a temporary discoloration of their water and fluctuations in water pressure.
The department advises people to set aside water for drinking and cooking purposes and after flushing in your area check the water for clarity by running the cold water for a few minutes.
