White Ribbon Day
2/28/18
Thursday will mark the eleventh annual Massachusetts White Ribbon Day
The purpose is to create awareness among males of the issue of men’s violence against women.
Yarmouth Deputy Police Chief Steven Xiarhos tells WXTK news that the YPD is, for the 6th year in a row, hosting White Ribbon Day on Cape Cod, with police departments from around the Cape, the Cape and Islands District Attorney’s Office, and Independence House all coming together to take the pledge to stand up, speak out and act to prevent violence against women.
The event will take place Thursday morning from 9 to 11 at the Irish Village in South Yarmouth.
All men and boys are encouraged to stop by and take the pledge to help prevent the violence against women.
