YPD/Juvenile Attacks Father

Yarmouth Police and Fire Rescue responded Saturday to the Montebello Restaurant in Kings Circuit in Yarmouthport for a report of an assault.
An investigation revealed that a family was having dinner when the father asked his son to stop texting repeatedly during the meal.
The father and son argued and went outside where the juvenile punched his elderly father in the face with so much force that he was knocked unconscious and hit his head on the ground.
He was transported to Cape Cod Hospital suffering from severe face and head wounds. He is expected to survive.
The juvenile was arrested and charged with felony assault and battery on a person over 60 with serious injury.
He will be arraigned in Barnstable Juvenile District Court Tuesday.
