State Police/Chase & Arrest
2/15/18
State Police stopped a vehicle on route 28 in Hyannis late Wednesday morning because of a broken brake light.
As they approached the car, the driver took off with police in pursuit until he reached the intersection of Route 28 and Yarmouth Road, where he had to stop for traffic at the light.
A State Police source told WXTK news that 24 year old Marcus Pogue of Fall River jumped out of his car and ran across Route 28 toward Camp Street with troopers in pursuit on foot and in the cruiser.
They finally caught up with Pogue on the railroad tracks behind D.J.s Family Sports Pub.
He was arrested and charged with failure to stop for police, operating an unregistered and uninsured vehicle, operating with a suspended license and possession of a dangerous weapon….a spring loaded knife.
