Health Connector Audit Finds Fake Addresses/Hyannis
1/30/18
An audit of the Massachusetts Health Connector finds two thousand people signed up for benefits with fake addresses between 2014 and last year.
The review conducted by the State Auditor found a Hyannis Warehouse and a Salem Tax business were among fake addresses used to get state benefits.
The audit finds the Health Connector wasn't verifying residency requirements.
The audit figures the group received more than a half-a-million dollars in state and federal subsidies and tax credits.
