Cape Cod Commission/ Interim Executive Director

Barnstable County Commissioners voted Wednesday to appoint Kristy Senatori to be the interim Executive Director of the Cape Cod Commission.
Commission Chair Leo Cakounes tells WXTK News the vote was 2 to 1 with Commissioner Ronald Beaty voting against, saying he wanted to see a nationwide search for a new Cape Cod Commission Executive Director in the interest of transparency.
Cakounes says they will make a decision on or before October first.
Senatori has been the Deputy Director of the Commission since 2012 and County Commissioners will be negotiating an interim contract with her.
Current Executive Director Paul Niedzwiecki is leaving for a new job opportunity as the first Executive Director and General Counsel for the Southfield Redevelopment Authority on the South Shore. His last day is Friday, February 2nd.
