Wareham Police responded to the Cape Cod Gas Station on Cranberry Highway Thursday evening for a reported armed robbery.
Police determined that a male suspect had come into the station and demanded cash from the attendant at knife point, then fled into a wooded area with an undetermined amount of cash.
A search of the area with a police K9 located the suspect hiding in brush and in possession of the cash just obtained from the gas station.
The attendant positively identified 48 year old Christopher Baker of East Wareham as the person who robbed the station.
Baker was arrested and charged with Armed Robbery while Masked and Intimidation of a Witness.
In Wareham District Court Friday, Baker was ordered held on $50,000 dollars cash bail pending a pre-trial hearing on January 10th.
