Operating under the specialized Impaired Driving Immobilization Traffic grant, Yarmouth Police arrested a 4th offense drunk driver with a revoked license.
The incident happened on Wednesday at approximately 10 p.m. on Route 28 near Commercial Street in South Yarmouth.
Officers attempted to pull over a vehicle in the area for an invalid safety inspection sticker, however the driver never stopped.
Police were led on a chase ending at a residence on Crowell Road in Dennis.
The driver exited his vehicle and ran to the back of house with one of his hands concealed in a pocket; once police caught up to the suspect, he began to approach officers who Tased him after several verbal warnings to stop were not followed.
46-year-old Matthew Tinti, of Florida, was arrested and charged with Felony 4th Offense OUI Liquor, Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Revoked License, Failure to Stop for Police, Operating a Motor Vehicle Negligently so as to Rndanger, and various other traffic violations.
He was arraigned in Barnstable District Court.
