Wareham officers were led on a chase last Monday after a vehicle failed to stop for police while traveling along the Cranberry Highway.
The incident began when officers were notified of a possibly intoxicated man operating a vehicle at the Cumberland Farms on Depot Street.
When police arrived, the driver left the parking lot and continued to travel despite police attempting to stop him.
The pursuit progressed into the Bayhead Shores neighborhood in Bourne, where the suspect veered into some brush and fled on foot.
Officers were able to locate the driver a short time later with the help of a K9 unit and Bourne Police.
37-year-old Kenneth Lounge, of South Plymouth, was arrested and charged with Failure to Stop for Police, Operating to Endanger, Speeding, and Operating after License Revocation.
He was additionally charged with Possession of Class “A” Heroin after police found approximately 1 gram in the vehicle.
