Falmouth Police responded to a possible hit and run accident when a call came in regarding an injured pedestrian lying in the roadway Friday Night.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Nobska Road and Oyster Pond Road at approximately 9 o’clock.
Fire and rescue arrived on scene and evaluated the 24-year-old Falmouth man, who was then taken to Falmouth Hospital with serious injuries. He was later transported to a Boston area hospital for further treatment.
An investigation revealed a vehicle fled the scene. Police are looking into whether a 2013-2017 Buick Enclave was involved; a rear bumper insert from the vehicle was found at the scene.
Falmouth Police also say the car may have sustained front end or undercarriage damage.
