A hazmat team was deployed to a storage shed near the Bass River Golf Course in South Yarmouth Friday afternoon.
Yarmouth Fire and Rescue initially responded to the area for a fire in a shed which was quickly contained, however various chemicals were discovered inside of it and a hazmat team was requested on location.
Crews arrived on scene and secured the chemicals as a precaution; many of the substances were being used by groundskeepers for course maintenance.
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
