Wareham Police arrested a man involved in a car accident Thursday night.
Officers were notified of a vehicle that left the scene of a rear-end collision at the intersection of Main Street and Chapel Street at approximately 9 o’clock.
Police soon located the car at an auto body shop about two miles from the reported incident.
The man was uncooperative with officers and attempted to walk away; police noted the subject appeared to be intoxicated. He was placed into custody after a brief struggle.
28-year-old Adam Prunier, of East Wareham, was arrested and charged with OUI, Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Disorderly Conduct, Disturbing the Peace, Resisting Arrest, Operating after License Suspension, and Open Container Violation.
He was arraigned Friday in Wareham District Court.
