Falmouth Police, Fire, and Rescue responded to the area of Ter Heun Drive for a roll-over accident Saturday afternoon.
The crash occurred at approximately 3:15; officers arrived on scene and found the vehicle on its roof and leaking gas after colliding with a utility pole.
Rescuers discovered the driver was unconscious, and had to be extricated; he was given first aid along with multiple doses of Narcan.
The operator of the vehicle was transported to Falmouth Hospital with unknown injuries; Eversource arrived shortly after to repair the broken utility pole.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by Falmouth Police, however a preliminary investigation indicates the driver was traveling east when the operator overdosed on heroin; police say he lost consciousness and the vehicle travelled over the center line, struck the pole, then rolled over.
