A 2-week-old puppy stuck underneath the deck of a residence in Harwich on Saturday prompted the fire department to launch a rescue response.
The incident occurred at a house on Orleans Road when the homeowner noticed one of the puppies from a litter of 7 was stuck underneath her deck.
Harwich Police were first contacted and arrived on scene, but officers were unable to reach the Leonberger puppy.
Harwich Fire responded to the area and one firefighter was able to rescue the small animal after squeezing himself under the deck.
The puppy was successfully reunited with the rest of the litter.
