Yarmouth and Mass State Police responded to a call behind the State Police Barracks early Friday morning for a report from a citizen stating that "a male had just pulled a gun on her and her friends.”
Police arrived on scene just after 1 a.m. and talked to three people who stated they had just gone to their friends' house in order to help her get away from her boyfriend.
All three said when they arrived the suspect entered the trailer, picked up a shotgun, "cocked" it, and pointed it at them.
At this time officers were informed the woman was still in the residence with the suspect.
Negotiators contacted the suspect via telephone, who came out of the residence with his hands up.
24-year-old Brenden Harris was arrested and charged with 5 counts of Improper Storage of a Firearm and 4 counts of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon; he also had his license to carry firearms suspended.
He was arraigned in Barnstable District Court.
