There has been a significant increase in the number of overdoses in Falmouth in recent weeks.
Last week, Falmouth Police responded to 15 overdose calls, with two of them resulting in death; 13 lives were saved through the use of Narcan.
It is believed that a lethal mix of heroin and Fentanyl has reached the community and is responsible for the recent spike.
The mixture of the two substances significantly increases the risk of death to those already using opiates.
The Falmouth Police Department urges anyone who knows someone who is suffering from opiate addiction to assist them in seeking immediate treatment.
