Four people were taken to the hospital Saturday morning after a motor vehicle crash occurred in Wellfleet on Route 6 near the Mobil gas station.
The accident happened at approximately 11 a.m.
Wellfleet Police and Fire arrived on scene and determined two vehicles had been involved.
The operator of one vehicle, a 70-year-old woman from Truro, was taken to Barnstable Municipal Airport and was Medflighted to a facility with life-threatening injuries. The passenger of the vehicle, another woman from Truro, was taken to Cape Cod Hospital with serious injuries.
The operator of the other vehicle, a 30-year-old woman from Wellfleet, was taken to Cape Cod Hospital with serious injuries, while an 8-year-old girl was also taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
The cause of the accident is under investigation by Wellfleet Police and the Cape Cod Regional Accident Reconstruction Team.
