A man who may have talked to a ghost through his Alexa, a possible smiling Sasquatch photographed, and an apartment complex with an unwanted reputation for being haunted were among the strange and unusual stories to cross our desk this week.
In what might be an indication that the spirit world can inhabit any form of modern technology, this past week saw a spooky video pop up online wherein a man seemingly speaks to a ghost through his Alexa. The chilling home security footage shows the rattled witness being roused from his bed by a commotion in his home and, as he is going to investigate the situation, he is bewildered when the speaker of his home assistant suddenly says "she was my wife." What follows is a very weird 'conversation' between the man and his Alexa that some believe was some kind of communication with the 'other side,' while others argued that the whole affair was merely a clever prank.

This past week saw a pair of stories centered around haunted locations with decidedly different perspectives on the matter. In Malaysia, more than 100 tenants of an apartment building literally took to the streets to protest against rumors that the building is inhabited by ghosts. The residents insisted that they have never encountered any spirits in the complex and blamed YouTube videos for the site's haunted reputation. Meanwhile, a bar in Indiana that is said to be the home of at least six ghosts went up for sale and the realtor in charge of the listing has embraced the paranormal nature of the establishment in the hopes that will entice a buyer.

After largely laying dormant throughout 2022, Bigfoot came roaring back in the news this past week by way of two intriguing stories. Fist, in Michigan, police were enlisted to investigate an odd call from a resident who spotted a possible Sasquatch on her home security system, though cops later disputed reports surrounding the incident. Then, in Georgia, a man exploring a forested area near his workplace stumbled upon a veritable wonderland of weird stick structures that he believes were the work of the famed cryptid. While documenting the puzzling discovery, he snapped a photograph that just might show a smiling Sasquatch peering out at him from behind a tree.
